This tool leverages web-based meteorological forecast products, primarily sourced from the NOAA/NCEP-based numeric weather model, known as the Global Forecast System (GFS), to deliver accurate and reliable information.

Originally launched in July 2005 under the aegis of the National Astronomical Observatories of China, 7Timer! underwent significant upgrades in 2008 and 2011. Today, it is proudly supported by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The platform was initially conceived by an avid stargazer frustrated with unpredictable weather conditions, making it an invaluable resource for those passionate about celestial observation.
