Cards Golf

Dive into the exciting world of card games with our app, designed specifically for two players and featuring three engaging games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat. You can easily choose your preferred game from the Settings menu to start playing.

Four Cards Golf Rules

Four Cards Golf is a thrilling card game where the objective, much like in actual golf, is to accumulate the least number of points possible. Each game spans nine rounds, and at the start of each round, players are dealt four cards face down. The rest of the deck forms the draw pile, with one card flipped over to start the discard pile.

Before gameplay kicks off, each player can peek at the two cards closest to them in their layout, but only once. These cards must remain a secret from your opponent. You can't look at them again until you're discarding them during play or at the game's end for scoring.

During your turn, you have the option to draw a card from the draw pile. You can then use this card to replace any of your four cards, but remember, you can't see the card you're swapping out. Keep track of which card you're replacing and move it to the discard pile. Alternatively, you can draw from the discard pile, which requires you to replace one of your layout cards immediately, then discard the drawn card.

You also have the option to knock, signaling the end of your turn. Once you knock, other players continue to draw and discard but can't knock themselves. The round concludes after your knock.

Scoring in Four Cards Golf:

• Pairs of cards (same value) in a column or row score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 10 points.
• Other cards are scored by their rank.
• Four cards of the same value score -6 points.

Six Cards Golf Rules

In Six Cards Golf, the goal remains to minimize your points. Each game consists of nine rounds, with players starting with six cards face down. The remaining cards form the draw pile, and one card is placed face-up to start the discard pile.

Initially, players turn two of their cards face up. Throughout the game, players aim to reduce the value of these cards by swapping them for lower-value cards or pairing them in columns with cards of equal rank.

Players take turns drawing a card from either the draw or discard pile. The drawn card can be swapped with one of your face-down cards (which then stays face-up) or discarded to end your turn. The round ends once all your cards are face-up.

Scoring in Six Cards Golf:

• Pairs of cards in a column score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 20 points.
• Other cards are scored by their rank.

To swap a card with one from the discard pile, simply tap on the card you wish to replace. To draw from the deck, tap the draw pile to reveal the card, then decide to either discard it or swap it with one of your cards.
