Known Habitats: Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts: Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attacks: Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Despite its size, Doshaguma is incredibly agile, making it a challenging target for melee weapons. Flash Pods are your friend here. A well-timed Flash Pod will temporarily blind the beast, giving you a precious window to attack or even mount it.
Prioritize attacking Doshaguma's forelegs (3-star weakness) for maximum damage. While its back legs are weaker (2-star weakness), they're still a viable target. The head also boasts a 3-star weakness. Don't forget the tail; breaking it yields extra materials, even if the damage dealt is less.
Fire and lightning are your best elemental bets. Bowgun users should stock up on Flaming and Thunder ammo. Weapon decorations that boost fire skills are also highly recommended. For fire attacks, target the head and torso; for lightning, focus on the head.
Doshaguma inflicts Blastblight, a status ailment that can cause you to explode if the gauge fills or you receive a heavy attack. Nulberries or Deodorant provide a cure. Alternatively, three consecutive dodge rolls can remove the effect.
Don't just blindly attack. Utilize the environment! Doshaguma's hunting grounds often contain natural traps. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger and ensure the monster is positioned directly over the trap before activating it.

Prefer capture over kill? Reduce Doshaguma's HP to 20% or less. Place a Shock or Pitfall Trap, then lure the weakened beast into it using Luring Ammo or meat. Once trapped, use tranquilizer ammo to subdue it (multiple shots may be necessary).
That's your comprehensive guide to hunting and capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember to enjoy a hearty meal for those crucial buffs before embarking on your hunt!
