Card Game Unveiled: Goat Simulator Franchise Expands

Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game adaptation is on the horizon! This exciting development, slated for release later this year, promises to capture the chaotic spirit of the original franchise.

Coffee Stain North, the creators of Goat Simulator, have joined forces with MOOD Publishing (known for titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this card game to life.

What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game

Details are still scarce, but we know the game will support 2-6 players engaged in goat-fueled mayhem. Expect the same brand of absurdity that defined the video game series, now packaged in a card game format. The game will launch on Kickstarter later this year.

Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, perfectly summarized the project: "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”

From April Fool's Joke to a Genre?

Initially launched as an April Fool's Day joke in 2014, Goat Simulator has defied expectations, evolving into a successful franchise spanning multiple platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile devices. With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy, the addition of a card game marks another surprising, yet fitting, expansion of the goat-themed universe.

In the meantime, you can experience the Goat Simulator games available on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our next article covering the Solo Leveling: Arise update.
