The major v0.13.0 update for Fields of Mistria introduces exciting new content, features, and quality-of-life improvements. Thanks to the March 10th v0.13.0 update, you can now customize the length of daytime hours in Fields of Mistria. This feature is accessible to all players, regardless of their in-game progress.
Begin by loading your saved game from the Main Menu. Once back on your farm, open the Pause Menu and select the Settings tab (the cogwheel icon) at the bottom. Next, choose ‘Accessibility’ from the left-hand menu. At the top, you'll find the ‘Day Time Speed’ option, initially set to ‘Standard.’
Selecting this option will display a warning: adjusting daytime hours may affect NPC schedules, which are optimized for the ‘Standard’ setting. If this isn't a concern, you can change the daytime speed to either ‘Longer’ or ‘Longest’.
Observations suggest ‘Longer’ provides a substantial increase in daytime hours, while ‘Longest’ offers even more time. ‘Longest’ is generally preferred for maximizing playtime.
To activate the adjustment, simply sleep in your bed until the day transitions. The new daytime duration will then be in effect. To change the setting again, repeat the process.
In cozy farming sims like Fields of Mistria (and its popular predecessor, Stardew Valley), time management is crucial. Normally, you have a limited time each day to complete tasks. This often involves careful scheduling, with lengthy activities like mining consuming a whole day. While the Teleportation Chalice helps mitigate this, the v0.13.0 update provides a welcome solution.
