Clash Royale's research confirms a decline in Christmas card popularity: Six in ten adults receive fewer cards, and a significant 79% express indifference. Over 40% even hope this trend persists.
To tap into this widespread Christmas fatigue, Clash Royale is hosting a unique London pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch. Attendees can shred unwanted cards in exchange for in-game rewards, offering a guilt-free alternative to discarding them.
But the anti-Christmas sentiment extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's research highlights a broader festive rebellion: 20% of participants have publicly complained about Christmas music, and a similar percentage have swapped traditional turkey for beef. Even Mariah Carey's holiday classic is on the "never want to hear again" list for one in five people.
The anti-Christmas spirit extends to Clash Royale's content creators, who are receiving hilariously awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers) wrapped in custom Clash Royale paper containing in-game rewards for fans.
