Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2's Story Quests are back after a brief hiatus for the Outlaw Keycard Community Quest, but Stage 4 presents a significant challenge. This guide explains how to equip the Sensor Backpack and scan Mysterious Energy Signatures.

Finding the Sensor Backpack

Stage 3, requiring you to open an Outlaw Chest (achieved by reaching Rare rarity with the Outlaw Keycard), is a time-consuming task involving vault robberies and numerous guard eliminations. Once completed, the challenging Stage 4 begins.

Unlike typical items, the Sensor Backpack isn't found in chests or on the ground. It's located behind the wolf statue south of Crime City, near the Secret Wolf Pack rendezvous point. Interact with the case there to equip the backpack.

Scanning Mysterious Energy Signatures

With the Sensor Backpack equipped, locate three Mysterious Energy Signatures on the mountain near the backpack's location. These are marked with exclamation points. Interact with each glowing energy signature to complete this part of the quest.

While relatively close together, remember that other players will be completing the same quest, so be prepared for potential encounters. Consider gathering loot before heading to the mountain for increased survivability.
