A new trailer for Freedom Wars Remastered showcases the game's improved gameplay and control systems, along with exciting new additions. This action RPG, set in a dystopian world ravaged by resource depletion, tasks players with battling massive mechanical creatures known as Abductors. Players harvest parts from defeated Abductors to upgrade their gear, creating a compelling loop of combat and progression. The game features missions ranging from citizen rescue operations to the capture of enemy control systems, playable solo or cooperatively online.
The Remastered version boasts significant enhancements. Visually, the game receives a substantial upgrade, supporting 4K resolution at 60 FPS on PS5 and PC, and 1080p at 60 FPS on PS4, while the Switch version runs at 1080p and 30 FPS. Gameplay is faster and more fluid, thanks to improved movement speed and new attack cancellation mechanics.
Crafting and upgrades have also been streamlined, featuring more intuitive interfaces and the ability to freely attach and detach modules. A new module synthesis feature allows players to enhance their equipment using resources gathered from rescued citizens. For experienced players, a challenging new "Deadly Sinner" difficulty mode has been added. Furthermore, all customization DLC from the original PS Vita release is included from the outset.
Freedom Wars Remastered launches January 10th for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game's blend of intense monster hunting action and deep customization, now enhanced with improved visuals and gameplay mechanics, promises a compelling experience for both returning fans and newcomers alike.
