"Friends of Fauna: New Feature in Latest Art of Fauna Update"

by Aaron Jul 01,2025

A new community-driven feature called *Friends of Fauna* has just launched as a free in-game program within *The Art of Fauna*, offering players a fresh and personal way to engage with the game. This update invites users to participate in shaping future content by submitting photographs of animals—whether wild, domesticated, or even service animals. Each month, one selected photo will be transformed into that month’s exclusive puzzle, celebrating both creativity and the natural world.

The debut puzzle under this new initiative features a Spectacled Bear, captured in a photo submitted by player Denis B. The chosen image is then beautifully reimagined into a puzzle piece that aligns with the game's signature aesthetic—combining artistry and education in a calming gameplay experience.

In addition to the new Friends of Fauna feature, the update brings personalized app icons for select community members. These unique icons reflect each individual’s connection to the game: Valentin receives a Snow Leopard, Vidit and Benedict share a Lion icon, Shiven is represented by an Orca, and Thomas is honored with a Northern Gannet.

About The Art of Fauna

Since its release in February, *The Art of Fauna* has become known as a contemplative and visually rich mobile puzzler. The game uniquely blends historical wildlife illustrations from the 18th and 19th centuries—featuring works by renowned naturalists like John James Audubon and John Gould—with modern interactive design. Players can choose how they want to solve each puzzle, either by reconstructing the visual image or assembling a descriptive text narrative, making every session both engaging and informative.

What sets this game apart is its mission-driven approach. A portion of all in-game purchases contributes directly to global wildlife conservation efforts, reinforcing the game’s theme of appreciation for nature through art and play.
