God of War reigns supreme! This beloved franchise has consistently delivered critically acclaimed titles, and with its 20th anniversary fast approaching, exciting rumors are swirling. One particularly intriguing whisper points towards a remaster of the original God of War games. Industry insider Jeff Grubb suggests an announcement could be imminent, possibly as early as March.

Intriguingly, the official 20th-anniversary celebrations are slated for March 15th-23rd. This timeframe seems perfectly positioned for a potential announcement of Kratos' remastered Greek adventures.
Adding fuel to the fire, Tom Henderson previously reported that the next God of War installment will indeed return to Greek mythology, focusing on a younger Kratos. If this proves true, a prequel could naturally precede the release of remasters, creating a compelling narrative arc.
The possibility of these rumors becoming reality is strong. The original Greek saga appeared on older PlayStation consoles, including the PSP and PS Vita. Given Sony's recent focus on remastering classic titles, bringing these legendary games to a modern audience seems a logical and highly desirable move.
