Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition follows another significant milestone: the game has surpassed 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.
Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for Indian players, features the classic battle royale gameplay with innovative additions like a Grudge system rewarding persistent player rivalries. The game, initially announced in 2022, has undergone several beta phases, steadily expanding its features and player base. This growth is encouraging, given India's booming mobile gaming market. The closed beta also includes an enhanced audio experience, boasting improved sound effects and music.

While surpassing 11 million pre-registrations is impressive, the growth rate has slowed compared to previous milestones (10 million in March). The anticipation for a public release is high, but the previously speculated late 2023 launch didn't materialize. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
