Netflix Is Dropping The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, a Prequel Game to the Upcoming Movie

Netflix is launching a new puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, to coincide with the release of their upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. This retro-futuristic puzzle game arrives March 18th, just days after the movie's March 14th debut on Netflix.

The film, directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, depicts a post-apocalyptic road trip across a 1990s-esque alternate America, featuring giant robots.

A Prequel, Not a Direct Adaptation

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo acts as a prequel, delving into the childhoods of key characters Chris and Michelle through a unique "game-within-a-game" structure. Developed by BUCK Games (creators of the popular Steam title Let's! Revolution!) in partnership with AGBO, the game promises engaging gameplay.

The game, reminiscent of the WarioWare series but with a distinct 80s aesthetic, unfolds in Wichita, Kansas, over five years (1985-1990). Players will solve puzzles, collect modules to repair Kid Cosmo's ship, and uncover the mysteries of this unusual world.
