Dungeonborne, a PvPvE action game reminiscent of Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Its creators have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, effective May 28th. The game, launched less than a year ago, failed to maintain a substantial player base, suffering from low player activity and a lack of substantial updates.
While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The developers haven't publicly detailed the reasons for the closure, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a significant factor. Concurrent player numbers dwindled to below 200 in late 2024, and recently plummeted to a mere 10-15 players.
This marks the end of Dungeonborne's short lifespan. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game will not reach its full potential.
