Smite 2 Is Now Free-to-Play

Smite 2's open beta is now live and free-to-play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), and Steam Deck. This launch coincides with a significant content update from Titan Forge Games.

A year after its announcement, Smite 2, built with Unreal Engine 5, delivers a refined MOBA experience. Improvements include enhanced visuals, revamped combat, and a redesigned item shop offering greater flexibility. The core gameplay remains true to its predecessor: 5v5 god-based battles across a sprawling map.

This open beta introduces a wealth of new content:

  • Aladdin: A brand-new god designed specifically for Smite 2, boasting unique wall-running and revival mechanics.
  • Returning Favorites: The popular 3v3 Joust mode makes a comeback.
  • New Gods: Geb (Egyptian), Mulan (Chinese), Agni (Hindu), and Ullr (Norse) join the roster, alongside Aladdin.
  • Updated Maps: A fresh Arthurian-themed map and updates to the Conquest map are included.
  • Game Mode Preview: An alpha version of the Assault game mode is available.
  • God Aspects: Optional enhancements for select gods add strategic depth.

The developer highlights significant improvements over the original Smite, thanking the alpha testers for their valuable feedback. Ambitious new content is promised for 2025. While currently unavailable on Nintendo Switch due to performance concerns, Titan Forge Games remains open to a potential release on the Switch 2. Smite fans can download the open beta now.
