Netflix Games' highly anticipated Squid Game: Unleashed mobile game finally has a release date: December 17th! A new trailer showcases the intense, bloody action players can expect.
The game will be available for iOS and Android. Netflix's track record with game adaptations of its hit shows has been mixed, but Squid Game: Unleashed aims to change that.
This multiplayer battle royale pits players against friends and strangers in a reimagining of the show's deadly games, albeit with a more comedic tone. The game faithfully recreates iconic scenes from the series, while also introducing new challenges. Its release just before Season 2 of the show (December 26th) is a smart strategic move. Pre-registration is open now!
A Curious Adaptation The irony of a show about the dehumanization of contestants being adapted into a competitive multiplayer game isn't lost on anyone. However, from a purely business perspective, it's a logical step for Netflix to tap into the dedicated multiplayer gaming market to retain subscribers.
While you wait for Squid Game: Unleashed, consider checking out other recent releases, such as the relaxing gardening simulator, Honey Grove, which received a positive review from Jack Brassel.
