Streamer Secures Full Combo for the Most Infamous Guitar Hero Song at 200% Speed

by Eleanor Mar 03,2025

Clone Hero streamer and content creator, CarnyJared, has achieved the seemingly impossible: a full combo (FC) on DragonForce's notoriously difficult Guitar Hero 3 track, "Through the Fire and Flames," at a blistering 200% speed.

His triumphant announcement, a simple yet powerful "IT. IS. OVER," accompanied a video uploaded on February 27th, showcasing this world-record-breaking feat. The onscreen text during his final, successful attempt—hitting all 3,722 notes flawlessly—highlights the dedication involved: nine months of relentless practice.

In the video description, CarnyJared expresses his gratitude: "I am rightfully thankful for everybody that has supported me throughout this ridiculous grind. I have the best supporters on the entire platform of Twitch and YouTube," he stated. He further elaborated on the collective effort, noting the countless hours spent analyzing the song's 3,722 notes to optimize his performance. "Somehow it worked out, and somehow I am able to sit in front of this computer which you have all cumulatively provided to me, and make a living playing Clone Hero."

Even at its normal speed, "Through the Fire and Flames" is a daunting challenge. Witnessing CarnyJared conquer it at double speed is almost incomprehensible. Completing the seven-and-a-half-minute song in just over three minutes is a truly remarkable achievement.

An FC in Clone Hero, the open-source Guitar Hero alternative, demands perfect execution—no missed notes. The video reveals CarnyJared's impressive statistics: nearly 2,000 successful FC attempts past the first bridge, 662 past the second, and a mere 227 to the solo section. This 200% FC marks only his fourth successful completion of the song's notoriously difficult solo.

CarnyJared's heartfelt appreciation extends beyond his online community: "I am blessed every single day to wake up and have food in the kitchen, and a place to sleep because of you amazing group of people," he shared. "And I also thank my family, who has not only supported me my whole life, but they all specifically watched and supported this entire grind at my lowest and highest points. This is a moment that will live with me forever."

He describes the feat as the "hardest thing" he's ever done, making the celebratory reaction following his success entirely understandable. For those eager to delve into the intricacies of this superhuman accomplishment, CarnyJared promises a forthcoming documentary, clocking in at "1 hour+," within the next few months.
