The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's delve into the character choices dominating the professional scene.
Following the World Warrior circuit's conclusion, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most frequently used Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest competitive level. This data offers a valuable insight into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though only one player opted for Ryu amongst nearly two hundred participants (including eight regional finalists from 24 regions). Even Terry Bogard, the newest addition, was selected by only two players.
Currently, Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison reign supreme, each chosen as the main character by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Amongst the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the primary fighter for seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 is set for March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
