Rebus Rules:

• Items are read in the nominative singular.
• Arrows may indicate a specific object.
• Commas at the beginning omit letters; commas at the end remove letters. The number of commas equals the number of letters.
• Letters within other letters are read using "of" (e.g., "a of b").
• Items placed next to each other are read with "for" (e.g., "x for y").
• Items stacked vertically are read with "on," "above," or "under."
• Letters written beside each other are read with "by"; letters attached are read with "y."
• Upside-down objects are read backward.
• Crossed-out letters are removed; letters above them are replacements. An equals sign indicates equivalence.
• Numbers above an image indicate letter positions (e.g., 5, 4, 2, 3 means the 5th, 4th, 2nd, and 3rd letters).
• Objects shown in action (sitting, running) add the corresponding verb (sits, runs, lies).
• Musical notes represent syllables ("fa," "mi," "re," "do").
