This device plugs into your car's diagnostic socket, granting your smartphone access to your vehicle's diagnostics. Be cautious with cheap Chinese OBD2 ELM327 adapters from eBay or Amazon, especially those marked as v.2.1, as they may have numerous bugs.

Please note that the capabilities of your vehicle's ECU can affect the amount of sensor data available. Car Scanner can only display data that your car's system provides.

Beware of "bad" adapters!
