The Classic Tri Peaks solitaire card game, also known as Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks, offers an engaging challenge for card game enthusiasts. This solitaire variant uses a standard deck of 52 cards, with the primary objective being to clear three peaks constructed from these cards.
The game begins with 18 cards laid out face-down to form three pyramids, each comprising three tiers that overlap. Above these pyramids, 10 cards are placed face-up. The remaining 24 cards serve as the stockpile, with the top card turned over to start the waste pile. To move a card from the tableau to the waste pile, it must be either one rank higher or lower than the current top card of the waste pile, regardless of the suit. This allows for sequences such as 7-8-9-10-9-10-J-10-9-8, and so on, until no further moves are possible. As cards are removed, any face-down cards that are no longer covered are turned face-up, revealing new opportunities to continue the game.
