Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game

Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for family gatherings. This turn-based game supports up to four players, allowing for solo, two-player, or three-player matches. The goal is to be the first player to empty your hand of cards. A player's turn involves playing a card that matches either the suit or rank of the card previously played. If a player has no matching card, they must draw a card from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player may choose to draw instead.

Special Cards:

• 2: When a player plays a two, the next player must draw two cards. If that player also has a two, they can choose to draw two cards or play their two, forcing the following player to draw four, and so on. This continues until a player without a two draws the cumulative number of cards.

• 7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.

• 10: Playing a ten requires the player to immediately play another card. If the ten was their last card, they must draw a card.

• 12: In games with three or four players, playing a twelve skips the next player's turn. This rule doesn't apply to two-player games.

The game concludes when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a two or ten), and that player is declared the winner.

Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:

• 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
• 10 Espadas (Syouf)
• 10 Oros (D'hab)
• 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)

Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
