Lexica: The Word Game Challenge

Lexica is a fast-paced word game where players race against the clock (3-30 minutes) to uncover as many words as possible hidden within a grid of randomly arranged letters.

This game is a community-maintained continuation of the original, now-unmaintained Lexic.

Recent Updates (Version 3.12.0 - February 18, 2024):

• French Dictionary Enhancements: Significant improvements, thanks to community member @mccoys:
  • Smarter Board Generation: Letter probabilities are now calculated based on their actual frequency within the French dictionary, leading to more realistic and challenging grids.
  • Refined Letter Selection: The letters "à," "ö," "ü," and "ë" have been removed due to their infrequent use (less than 50 words each, mostly loanwords).
  • Improved "Q" Rule: The letter "Q" will now always be followed by "u," reflecting standard French orthography.
