AFK Journey Character Tier List (January 2025)

This tier list ranks AFK Journey characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP. Note that many characters are viable, but some excel in high-level endgame content.

AFK Journey Tier List

Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. This list prioritizes characters excelling in challenging endgame content.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a recent addition, is a top-tier Wilder character, offering significant damage and utility. She excels in PvP, PvE, and Dream Realm. Thoran remains a top F2P tank, even with Phraesto's availability. Reinier is a crucial support for both PvE and PvP. Koko and Smokey & Meerky are valuable supports across various game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi, another strong Wilder, offers excellent crowd control. Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, gains strength as battles progress.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala utilize Haste effectively. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own. Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran. Viperian complements Graveborn teams with energy drain and AoE attacks. Alsa, a strong DPS mage, is a viable alternative to Carolina in PvP, particularly with Eironn. Phraesto, a durable tank, lacks damage output. Ludovic is a powerful Graveborn healer, particularly effective with Talene. Cecia, while still a capable Marksman, has decreased in value due to meta shifts. Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction with damage and utility.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters fulfill roles adequately but are outclassed by higher-tier options. Valen and Brutus are effective early-game DPS units. Granny Dahnie provides decent tanking, debuffs, and healing. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays, but less useful in other modes. Florabelle is a secondary DPS character who summons minions, requiring significant investment. Soren is decent in PvP but suboptimal elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has diminished.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are generally outclassed quickly after AFK level 100. Parisa, while offering AoE crowd control, is easily replaced. These characters are best used temporarily until better alternatives are acquired.
