by Lillian Oct 10,2025

Ariana Grande is expanding her acting portfolio with a lead role in Meet the Parents 4, joining comedy veterans Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the multi-platinum singer-turned-Wicked star will appear in the latest chapter of the beloved franchise. Universal Pictures has scheduled the Focker-Byrnes family reunion for November 25, 2026.

Stiller and De Niro will reprise their iconic father-in-law/son-in-law dynamic for the fourth time. While Blythe Danner and Teri Polo (original cast members from all three previous films) are in negotiations to return, sources confirm Grande will play Polo and Stiller's son's "ball-busting" fiancée who seems like a disastrous match.

Franchise screenwriter John Hamburg returns to direct, with original trilogy director Jay Roach serving as producer alongside De Niro (through Tribeca Productions) and Stiller (via Red Hour Films). Universal executives Matt Reilly and Jacqueline Garell will oversee production.

The 25 Greatest Comedy Films Ever Made

Though primarily known for her chart-topping music career (including 2024's critically acclaimed Eternal Sunshine album), Grande has been making waves in Hollywood. Her performance as Glinda in Wicked earned widespread praise and an Oscar nomination, with the sequel Wicked: For Good scheduled for November 21, 2025.
