Mastering Character Customization in Monster Hunter Wilds

Character customization is a key element in Monster Hunter Wilds, offering players extensive options to personalize their hunter and palico. This guide details how to modify your character's appearance and equipment.

Altering Your Hunter and Palico's Appearance

Monster Hunter Wilds provides a detailed character creator. To adjust your character's physical features after the game begins, access the Appearance Menu from your tent at base camp (using L1 or R1). Select "Change Appearance" to revisit the character creator and modify both your Hunter and Palico's look.

Outfit Changes and Layered Armor

Layered Armor customization is available from the start. Navigate to your tent's Appearance Menu, then choose "Equipment Appearance." This lets you customize your Hunter's and Palico's outfits using unlocked Layered Armor pieces. Note: you can't directly transmog equipped armor with other forged armor sets. To change your outfit beyond layered armor, you must forge and equip new armor sets, keeping in mind that each piece has different stats.

Seikret Customization Options

The Appearance Menu also includes Seikret Customization. This allows you to adjust your Seikret's skin and feather colors, patterns, decorations, and even eye color.
