Clash Royale is throwing it back to 2017 with the new Retro Royale Mode! Available for a limited time only, from March 12th to the 26th, this exciting mode offers a chance to win fantastic new rewards. Climb the 30-step ladder to earn Gold and Season Tokens.
Supercell's continued success stems from consistently refreshing their top games, as evidenced by the recent changes in Clash of Clans. Now, Clash Royale joins the party, celebrating its anniversary by taking players on a trip back to its launch year!
The Retro Royale mode, showcased in a recent trailer, recreates the original 2017 meta and card pool. From March 12th to 26th, you'll battle it out with a selection of 80 cards, climbing the Retro Ladder for exclusive rewards. Earn Gold and Season Tokens as you ascend the 30 steps.
The competition intensifies as you progress. Reaching the Competitive League assigns you a starting rank based on your Trophy Road progress. From there, your Retro Royale performance determines your climb up the leaderboard, showcasing your enduring Clash Royale skills.
A Royal Decree of Nostalgia
It's interesting that I recently discussed Supercell's efforts to keep their games fresh, only to see a retro mode arrive shortly after. However, there's a clear distinction between feeling outdated and feeling nostalgic. With the enticing rewards on offer, it's hard to imagine fans resisting the urge to participate.
Don't forget, competing in both the Retro Ladder and the Competitive League at least once will earn you a special badge for each!
