Embark on a thrilling quest in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2's Wanted: Joss Outlaw challenges! The Big Dill challenge is just the beginning of a series of tough tasks, and collecting mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser is next on the list. This guide will show you how.
The Plasma Burst Laser, a powerful new weapon in the Lawless season, is perfect for breaching Vaults scattered across the map. However, as an Epic item, it's not easily found. Your best bet is searching POIs with Vaults, like Crime City, which also boasts numerous Go Bags and Chests. Alternatively, two Black Markets sell the Plasma Burst Laser for 600 Gold. While the Black Market south of Seaport City is an option, the one near Magic Mosses is more strategically located for the next challenge, which requires returning to Joss' lab.
Once you've acquired the Plasma Burst Laser, locate a destructible stone structure. Note that not all stone structures will work; you need to find one that can be broken with your Pickaxe. Aim the Plasma Burst Laser at the stone structure and fire until it's destroyed. Mineral samples won't automatically appear in your inventory; instead, a small piece of rock will drop to the ground. Interact with this rock to complete the quest objective.
From there, simply follow the in-game marker to Joss' lab. Interact with the designated spot to analyze the samples, earn more XP, and complete the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests. Now you can return to the game, showcasing your newly unlocked items!
That's how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in Fortnite Chapter 6. For more Fortnite news, check out our article on rumored collaborations for the Lawless season.
