Arise Crossover: Beginner's Guide (Beta)

by Olivia Mar 12,2025

Arise Crossover might seem simple at first glance: collect Shadow units, attack defenseless enemies, and power up your team. But even experienced players can get lost in the leveling, unit selection, and progression. This guide is for those feeling a little overwhelmed.

Each island in Arise Crossover offers recruitable Shadows, including a powerful dungeon boss. While Soondoo (early game) is the weakest unit type, Mifalcon (late game) is the strongest. However, unit rank matters more than type. A Rank A Soondoo vastly outperforms a Rank D Mifalcon. Higher-ranked units achieve significantly higher levels; a Rank D maxes at level 75, while an SS unit reaches level 200. The ultimate team? Four level 200 Mifalcons (SS rank). Getting there is the adventure!

Dungeon portals appear every 30 minutes, lasting 15 minutes. Even joining a dungeon seconds before closure allows full completion. Portals spawn randomly across islands at varying difficulty levels. Begin by forming a team of Rank D units and tackling Rank D or C dungeons on Leveling Island. This provides a solid foundation and a chance to recruit rare Shadows. Dungeons are the key to obtaining rare and higher-ranked (above C) units.

Whenever a portal spawns, join! Even with a weak team, wait near a portal; other players often assist lower-level players through dungeons. Many players solo dungeons and willingly help others. Use this kindness to acquire higher-ranked units. Dungeon Shadow recruitment is the core progression method in Arise Crossover.

We progressed to the endgame by having a kind player take our Rank C team through a Rank A dungeon, allowing us to recruit Rank A units. We later returned the favor, guiding players with Rank D units through a Rank S dungeon. Pay it forward!

Arise Crossover Weapons

Currently (Beta), player weapons are largely ineffective. While useful early on, their impact diminishes significantly by the second island. The Iron Kando Blade, the strongest common weapon, costs 60 million and deals 516,100 damage—a fraction of the damage your units will be dealing (200-400 million). Unless you have excess currency, save your money for future updates.

How to get a mount in Arise Crossover

Wild mounts spawn every 15 minutes, claimable by only one player per server. A server-wide message announces spawns, but not always captures or disappearances. Mounts spawn in six locations: three main islands, two smaller islands between the main ones, and one on the back of a main island. Consult the developer's map for precise locations.

You can only claim each mount once, and capture attempts can fail. Flying mounts are the rarest (approximately 10% spawn rate), ground mounts are common, and water mounts are available from the Boat Shop NPC. While mounts aren't essential for progression, a flying mount significantly improves travel. Keep an eye out for the server message and check all six locations! We're still hunting that elusive flying mount.
