DanMachi Battle Chronicle Ends Service, Retains Offline Mode

DanMachi Battle Chronicle, also known as Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Battle Chronicle, has announced its end of service. Aiming, the developer and publisher of this 3D action RPG, officially confirmed the shutdown today.

When is the DanMachi Battle Chronicle End of Service?

The final shutdown is scheduled for September 29th, 2025. After this date, the game will no longer be downloadable from the Google Play Store, App Store, or on PC (Windows version). All customer support across platforms will also cease on that day.

Sales of Paid Selas currency will stop after the maintenance on July 30th. However, players can continue to use any remaining currency until the servers go offline. The team will accept refund requests for Paid Selas purchases from September 29th through December 28th.

On July 31st, the official DanChro Discord server will be closed. The in-game "Join the Community" mission accessible from the Options screen will also be removed in late July. Furthermore, tokens earned from the Training Camp event will expire after the final event concludes.

An offline version is planned for both Android and iOS devices. However, this version will only be available for Japanese players and will have limited functionality. Japanese players will have the opportunity to transfer some of their progress to this offline version before the online service ends.

There's One Final Event!

The game launched in August 2023 following its announcement the previous July. Therefore, DanMachi Battle Chronicle will celebrate its second anniversary just prior to its shutdown.

The 2nd Anniversary celebration begins on July 30th. It will feature an original event story. However, this event will not include any quests or ranking competitions.

As part of the final content release, a special limited-edition Scene Card exclusive to the event will be distributed. A promotional video for the anniversary event is scheduled to premiere on July 21st.

Another gacha RPG based on the franchise, DanMachi Memoria Freese, concluded a seven-year run when it shut down in February 2024. It seems the longevity of these types of games is gradually decreasing.

You can still experience the game one last time by downloading it from the Google Play Store.
