Free Fire, Garena’s renowned mobile battle royale, is set to continue its global esports journey with an impressive $1 million prize pool at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh. This event marks another chapter in the multi-year partnership between Free Fire and EWC, with fans already anticipating the 2026 tournament.

The excitement peaks this summer from July 16th to 20th, where 18 of the world's top Free Fire squads will compete fiercely for the coveted prize. The competition kicks off with a group stage, dividing the teams into three groups of six. The top twelve teams will advance to the Point-Rush stage, leading into the thrilling Grand Final, which employs the match point format to determine the ultimate champion. Additionally, a $10,000 MVP bonus awaits the standout individual performer of the tournament.

Last year's champions, Team Falcons, are returning after their remarkable victory in 2024, where they clinched the title with two critical Booyahs in the finals, securing their spot at the World Series in Rio. Their journey from a slow start in Point-Rush to ultimate triumph is a testament to their skill and resilience.

Qualifiers for EWC 2025 are already in full swing. The FFWS SEA will conclude on June 14th, sending eight teams to Riyadh. LATAM will qualify two teams by June 1st, Brazil will contribute four by June 22nd, and one team each from Pakistan, the FF MSC, and Bangladesh will also join the fray. Team Falcons, as defending champions, receive an automatic berth.
