Hideaki Nishino Ascends to CEO of SIE Amidst Sony Restructuring

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous leadership structure implemented after Jim Ryan's retirement. This promotion elevates Nishino to oversee all SIE operations, including the platform business group, building upon his previous role overseeing hardware and technology. Hermen Hulst will continue as head of PlayStation Studios.

Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to president and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.

Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, expressed his honor in leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences. He highlighted plans for PlayStation community growth through IP expansion and technological advancements, thanking Hulst for his continued contributions.
