As part of its expansive HP Memorial Day Sale, HP is rolling out incredible deals on its latest Omen Max 16 gaming laptops, now equipped with the cutting-edge Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080 mobile graphics. The Omen Max, launched as HP's flagship gaming laptop for 2025, builds on the success of the Omen 16 with superior materials like an aluminum-magnesium alloy chassis and lid, along with an enhanced cooling system designed to support the most powerful current-generation hardware. These new GPUs offer a significant performance boost over the RTX 40 series, with the RTX 5070 Ti matching the RTX 4080 and the RTX 5080 outpacing the RTX 4090.

Originally priced at $2,499.99, now available for $2,179.99 at HP, this Omen Max 16 laptop comes loaded with a 16" 1920x1200 display, an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX processor, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 512GB SSD. The Core Ultra 7 255HX processor, with a max turbo frequency of 5.2GHz and 20 cores, includes 36MB of total L2 cache, making it a powerhouse comparable to the Core Ultra 9 275HX in gaming performance.
According to Notebookcheck, the RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU is hailed as "the true successor to the RTX 4070" and delivers performance akin to the RTX 4080. While the RTX 5070 falls behind, matching the RTX 4070, the RTX 5070 Ti should comfortably handle any game at the display's native 1920x1200 resolution.

Originally listed at $3,299.99, you can now grab it for $2,799.99 at HP. This model boasts a 16" 2560x1600 display, an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, GeForce RTX 5080 graphics, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Core Ultra 9 275HX processor reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz with 24 cores and 40MB of total L2 cache. According to Passmark, this is the fastest laptop processor currently on the market, boasting a 7% performance lead over the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D.
Tom's Hardware reports that the RTX 5080 mobile GPU is approximately 15%-20% more powerful than the RTX 4080 it replaces, and even surpasses the RTX 4090 by about 5%. It represents a better value than the significantly pricier RTX 5090, trailing by only about 15% despite being nearly $1,000 less expensive. This GPU is well-equipped to run new and upcoming games at high frame rates on the display's native 2560x1600 resolution.
