Bethesda has exciting news for fans of the iconic adventurer: MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will launch on PlayStation 5 with early access on April 15, ahead of its global release on April 17. Pre-ordering the game grants players early access to dive into the adventure before everyone else.
This PS5 release comes four months after the game's initial launch on Xbox and PC. Alongside this announcement, Bethesda released a playful promotional trailer featuring two of the most renowned video game actors: Troy Baker, who plays Indiana Jones, and Nolan North, known for his role as Nathan Drake in the PlayStation-exclusive Uncharted series. This meeting symbolizes a full circle moment for The Great Circle, given the Uncharted series' inspiration from Indiana Jones.
Adding a twist, Bethesda, now under Microsoft, enlisted Nolan North for their advertisement. While North avoids mentioning 'Nathan Drake' or 'Uncharted' directly, his performance carries a knowing nod to his famous role. In the trailer, North humorously suggests he broke into the room they're in, hinting at the imminent arrival of goons—a common occurrence for Nathan Drake.
During their conversation, North questions Baker on how he plans to handle Private Military Forces with just a whip. Baker, pointing to his head, starts to say, "use the old—," before North interjects with "headbutt," approvingly noting it as an aggressive tactic. North describes himself as more of a sidearms and casual attire kind of guy, while Baker playfully notes his character's half-tucked shirt.
The two actors share a moment over their love for ancient artifacts, though with different intentions: North's character would sell them to the highest bidder, while Baker's would donate them to museums. This exchange symbolizes Nathan Drake welcoming Indiana Jones into an exclusive club of adventurers, with North declaring, "Welcome to the club." This marks a significant moment as Xbox's Indiana Jones joins PlayStation's Uncharted on Sony's console, united as treasure-hunters in crime. The scene playfully leaves room for Lara Croft to crash the party, suggesting the inclusivity of this adventurers' club.

This release is part of Microsoft's broader strategy to bring their titles to multiple platforms, following the likes of Forza Horizon 5 and Doom: The Dark Ages. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has already attracted 4 million players thanks to its day-one launch on Game Pass, and its numbers are expected to surge with the PS5 version's release.
Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford has praised Troy Baker's portrayal of the character in The Great Circle, humorously stating, "you don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul." In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Ford expressed his satisfaction with Baker's performance, emphasizing that talent and good ideas are all it takes to capture the essence of Indy, without the need for AI.
