Infinity Nikki offers compensation for the issues in version 1.5’s release. Dive into the details to discover what players can expect as a result of the game’s shortcomings and what developer Infold Games has planned to address these issues.
Infinity Nikki's version 1.5 rollout was eagerly awaited by fans, with developer Infold Games promising significant enhancements. However, the update fell short of expectations, leading to widespread disappointment. In a statement on Twitter (X) dated May 18, Infold Games acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and offered compensation to players.
The update introduced numerous technical issues and bugs across various platforms, some severe enough to make the game unplayable. Additionally, the update included sudden system changes that increased the cost of 5-star outfits from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces. This change raised the number of pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220, making it more challenging and costly for players to obtain full sets.
A new dye system was also introduced, which players found cumbersome due to the need to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. The removal of the Threads of Reunion storyline further compounded the issues, as the associated outfit is still in development. Infold Games explained, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond 120 and Energy Crystal 1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond 960 and Energy Crystal 8." Despite this gesture, the studio has yet to outline specific plans for resolving the underlying issues, prompting fans to voice their concerns about the pity system changes, the dye system's shortcomings, and other bugs in the comments section.
In light of version 1.5's troubled release, Infold Games has decided to extend the current version to allow more time to address the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 is now scheduled for release on June 12, 2025, which will also delay the in-game events planned for the new version.
The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, originally set for May 20, will now debut with version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.
The challenges presented by version 1.5 are just the beginning. Infold Games is actively working on further unlisted adjustments. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," the developers explained.
To enhance communication with the community, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. This platform allows players to directly share their concerns and feedback with the developers. Players can participate by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the Customer Service option in-game.
Infold Games expressed "guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to making the game "shine brighter than ever." Infinity Nikki is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC. For the latest updates and more information about the game, be sure to check out our related articles below!
