Marvel has unveiled the exciting first trailer for Ironheart, the eagerly anticipated MCU series set to premiere on Disney+. Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams, the armored superhero first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022, alongside Anthony Ramos who portrays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer, which you can watch below, offers a tantalizing glimpse into the series, highlighting Riri's journey from a supporting role in the MCU to becoming a standout superhero in her own right.
The Hood, portrayed by Ramos, starts off as a mentor figure to Williams, aiming to help her unlock her full potential. However, the trailer hints at deeper, possibly sinister layers to his character.Produced by executive producer Ryan Coogler, Ironheart is set to launch with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, exclusively on Disney+.
In the trailer, Riri reflects on her experience in Wakanda Forever as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a crucial decision prompted by The Hood: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?" The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up, soaring through the skies, and impressively grounding herself to punch a truck, sending it flying over her head.
