King of the Hill Revived for Seasons 16 & 17

Hulu has renewed King of the Hill for two more seasons, Seasons 16 and 17, with a 20-episode order. The adult animated series was originally revived in January 2023 with a similar 20-episode commitment.

Season 14, which consisted of 10 episodes, began streaming on Monday, August 4. It quickly debuted at number two on Nielsen’s Overall Top 10 Streaming chart. The series has now surpassed 1 billion hours of global streaming across Hulu and Disney+.

Season 15 is set to premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the United States. International audiences will be able to watch it on Disney+ sometime in 2026.

Reviving King of the Hill 15 years after the original series concluded has proven to be a successful move, though it was not without risks. Several original voice actors have passed away, both before and after the production of Season 14. The cultural and political landscape of the U.S. has also shifted considerably—a change Hank Hill himself confronts upon returning from Saudi Arabia at the start of Season 14. A necessary time jump allowed the characters to age, with Bobby Hill undergoing some of the most noticeable transformations. Despite these challenges, creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels delivered a compelling revival, setting a positive tone for Seasons 15, 16, and 17.

IGN awarded King of the Hill Season 14 a perfect 10/10 score. The review praised the season as "a dazzling return to form for the beloved series, using sharp social commentary and nuanced characters to establish one of the greatest comebacks in animation history."
