Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Projects: Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to expand the Legacy of Kain universe with two exciting new projects.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is a comprehensive encyclopedia detailing the world of Nosgoth. Authored by Nic Reuben (Rock Paper Shotgun), it will cover locations, factions, characters, and a detailed timeline of the Kain and Raziel conflict. Beyond the lore, the book will include concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A Tabletop RPG

The second project, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, is a tabletop role-playing game using the MÖRK BORG ruleset. Set during the Sarafan Order's crusade, players take on the roles of warrior priests hunting vampires. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the diverse landscapes of Nosgoth. Expect a mechanics-light, high-stakes experience focusing on vampire hunts, hidden history, and forays into the spectral realm.
