The live-action remake of Disney's beloved animated classic, Lilo & Stitch, has just unveiled its official trailer! Giving us our best look yet at the film's stars, the trailer showcases Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as Pleakley.
While previous teasers focused heavily on Stitch, this trailer centers on Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, offering a compelling glimpse into her interpretation of the iconic character originally voiced by Daveigh Chase. We also see the endearingly serious Cobra Bubbles in action alongside Zach Galifianakis' Jumba and Magnussen's Pleakley. Interestingly, Jumba and Pleakley appear, at least initially, disguised as their human actors, a unique twist on their usual alien appearances. However, a fleeting glimpse of Pleakley in his true alien form is also included.
The trailer faithfully recreates several iconic scenes from the original film, including Stitch's dramatic arrival as a falling star, his canine disguise at the animal shelter, and the heartwarming moment where Lilo delivers the film's powerful message: "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Lilo & Stitch will hit theaters on May 23, 2025, joining the ranks of other recent live-action adaptations of Disney classics. Its release follows closely behind the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, which premieres on March 21st.
