Netflix to Launch Animated Series Based on Clash of Clans and Royale Worlds

by Joseph May 21,2025

Netflix and Supercell have exciting news for fans of the Clash franchise: they're bringing the world of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale to your screens with a new animated series. Currently in pre-production, the series promises to capture the chaos and excitement of the games. According to Netflix, the plot will center on a determined Barbarian, who, despite being in over his head, must lead a group of misfits to defend their village and navigate the hilariously absurd world of war politics.

Clash of Clans' official social media accounts joined in the celebration, announcing the series with enthusiasm. "Sound the horns, raise the banners, and reinforce your village walls—Clash is invading @Netflix!" they declared, accompanied by a charming teaser video featuring the developers announcing the series through a playful group FaceTime call. "We’re making a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-pitched, hog-riding friends. Charge!"

Netflix's team is equally thrilled about this venture. John Derderian, VP of Animation, praised the global appeal of Clash, highlighting its humor, action, and memorable characters as perfect for an animated adaptation. "Working with the incredible team at Supercell, Fletcher Moules and Ron Weiner, we’re bringing all the fun, chaos, and spirit of the world of Clash to life in a whole new way. We can’t wait for fans - old and new - to experience the mayhem," he stated.

While the Clash animated series is still in pre-production and a release date has yet to be announced, Netflix continues to invest heavily in adapting video games into engaging shows and movies. Successful examples include Arcane, based on League of Legends, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. Other notable adaptations on Netflix include Resident Evil, Tekken: Bloodline, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Age: Absolution, and Castlevania, among many others.
