How To Get Nickit and Thievul in Pokemon GO

Catching Nickit in Pokémon GO

There are several ways to snag a Nickit during the Deep Depths event:

Wild Encounters: Nickit will appear as an uncommon wild Pokémon. Keep a close eye on your in-game radar (bottom right) to locate and catch it.

Egg Hatching: Nickit can hatch from 7 km Eggs. Bonus: Egg hatching distances are halved during the event, making it faster to hatch your Nickit!

Field Research: Completing the "Defeat two Team Go Rocket Grunts" Field Research task will reward you with a Nickit encounter. Alternatively, the Deep Depths Premium Timed Research Ticket ($1.99) offers two guaranteed Nickit encounters; one after defeating a Team Go Rocket Grunt, and another upon completing all research tasks.

Evolving Nickit into Thievul in Pokémon GO

You won't find Thievul in the wild. To evolve your Nickit, you'll need 50 Nickit Candy. Use Pinap Berries to double your candy yield from each successful catch. Setting a Pokémon alert in your Pokédex will notify you of nearby Nickit sightings.

The Deep Depths event runs from March 19th to March 24th, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time. Make the most of the weekend to explore local hotspots, use Incense, and fill your Pokédex!
