"Nintendo Today App: A New Hub for Fans' News and Content"

by Samuel Mar 28,2025

Nintendo has just unveiled Nintendo Today, a brand-new app designed to deliver Nintendo news directly to fans in a more immediate way than ever before. This exciting announcement was made by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, adding an unexpected highlight to the event. Available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, this app promises a host of benefits for avid Nintendo enthusiasts.

Nintendo Today serves as a comprehensive hub, functioning as both a daily calendar and a news feed that keeps players informed in real-time. Miyamoto highlighted that following next week's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, users can log into the app to receive all the latest updates, with the promise of daily news thereafter.

Unlike traditional Nintendo Directs, Nintendo Today offers a more direct approach, encouraging fans to stay updated even without major announcements. As each day passes, beloved characters like Mario, Pikmin, and Animal Crossing's residents will greet users, making the daily experience more engaging. The app's feed will not only feature news but also include a variety of Nintendo-themed content. Examples showcased during the Direct include a Pikmin 4 comic titled "Too Stuck to Pluck" and insightful "Pearls of Wisdom" from Animal Crossing's Pascal.

While Nintendo Today may not be the blockbuster reveal like a new Zelda or Super Smash Bros. game that many fans were hoping for, it provides an additional channel for the Nintendo community to stay connected.
