Nintendo Switch OLED Launches on AliExpress as Switch 2 Soars

Nintendo Switch OLED Discount Deal on AliExpress

Gamers seeking an original Switch (not the Switch 2) may want to check out this limited-time offer. AliExpress currently has the Nintendo Switch OLED model priced at just $237.49 with free US shipping. The marketplace provides multiple buyer protections, including compensation for delivery delays and full refunds for lost, damaged, or undelivered packages within 20 days.

While this is an authentic, factory-sealed Nintendo Switch, note it's an international version. The manufacturer's warranty won't apply in the US, though you'll get 15-day return coverage. Packaging materials may display non-English text, but functionality remains identical to domestic models with full region-free compatibility and English language support.

Update: Originally spotted on Woot, this deal has since expired there. AliExpress now offers a comparable import model at an even lower price point.

The OLED upgrade justifies its slight price premium over the standard model. The vibrant 7-inch OLED screen delivers superior contrast, richer colors, and sharper text compared to the original LCD display. While only slightly larger (versus 6.2"), the slimmer bezels create a more immersive experience. Additional improvements include an adjustable kickstand, dock with built-in Ethernet, and exclusive white console/Joy-Con color scheme.

The Original Switch Remains Relevant Despite Switch 2 Launch

While the Switch 2 has arrived, the original Switch maintains strong value. The new console carries a $449.99 MSRP and currently offers just one major exclusive title (Mario Kart World Tour at $79.99 standalone). Many enhanced Switch 2 games don't yet justify the premium price. Savvy gamers may prefer waiting until more must-play exclusives launch or special edition consoles become available.
