While Monster Hunter Wilds shines brightest when played with friends, solo hunts have their own appeal. Need a break? Here's how to pause the game.
Pausing in Monster Hunter Wilds is easy. Simply open the menu using the Options button, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select "Pause Game" with the X button. This works even during hunts or combat! Resume your hunt effortlessly by pressing the circle button or R3. Life happens, and this pause feature provides a much-needed breather.
Unfortunately, pausing isn't an option in multiplayer. If you're in a lobby or party with others, the game remains active. If you need a break, try finding a safe spot for your character to avoid taking damage. Remember, monster health scales with the number of players, so extended AFK periods could leave your team struggling.
And that’s how to pause in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more gaming tips and guides, check out The Escapist!
