Fans of the iconic *Persona 5* series, rejoice! *Persona 5: The Phantom X* is finally making its way to a global audience. Pre-registration for the Android version is now live, and the excitement is palpable. Previously announced for a June 26th, 2025 release in Japan, the global launch is now set for the same date, making it a worldwide event to look forward to.
The game has already been launched in China a year ago and later expanded to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong, where it's available on Android, iOS, and PC. Now, SEGA and Atlus are ensuring a full-fledged global release. Developed by Black Wing Game Studio with contributions from former *Persona 5* developers, *Phantom X* adopts a free-to-play model, complete with a gacha system that allows players to summon various characters to join their party.
The global release promises Japanese voice acting with the choice of either English or Japanese text, catering to a diverse audience. If you're as excited as we are, head over to the Google Play Store to pre-register now. Don't miss out on the first look at the game right here!
In *Persona 5: The Phantom X*, you step into the role of a new protagonist, leading a fresh crew of Phantom Thieves through a stylized modern-day Tokyo, complete with new palaces and mementos. The game retains the beloved turn-based combat and dual-life rhythm of the series, while also introducing light social simulation elements and dungeon crawling.
Additionally, *Phantom X* includes a guild system and a PvE mode called Velvet Trials, alongside familiar faces from the original *Persona 5*. The story begins with the protagonist waking from a nightmare to find themselves in a distorted reality, eventually meeting a talking owl named Lefaye and the enigmatic Velvet Room crew, including the unsettling long-nosed man and his assistants.
That's everything you need to know about the global pre-registration for *Persona 5: The Phantom X*. Keep an eye out for our next update on Crunchyroll's Roguelike Combat Deckbuilder, *Shogun Showdown*.
