PlayStation Announces State of Play for Tomorrow

by Natalie Feb 23,2025

Sony's PlayStation State of Play is set for tomorrow, February 12th, at 2 PM Pacific / 5 PM Eastern / 10 PM UK. This 40+ minute broadcast, available in English and Japanese on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch channels, promises a diverse lineup of games from global studios.

While specifics remain under wraps, anticipation is high for updates on several highly anticipated titles. The PlayStation Blog hints at "a creative and unique selection of exciting games," fueling speculation. Many hope for extended gameplay of Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima, alongside a release date for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

Given last week's PlayStation Store leak, a formal Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date trailer is also a strong possibility.

PlayWhile reveals for Insomniac's Wolverine or Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet might be premature, other promising titles are likely to feature. A release date for S-Game's Phantom Blade Zero, an action RPG with impressive sword combat, is highly anticipated. Furthermore, Bungie's Marathon and Haven's Fairgames, intriguing multiplayer shooters, will likely garner significant attention following Sony's recent Concord acquisition.

With Bloodborne's 10th anniversary approaching in March, a special announcement isn't entirely out of the question. And of course, persistent rumors of a Halo title coming to PlayStation continue to fuel speculation. Could this State of Play finally deliver?
