Following the phenomenal success of Pokémon TCG Pocket, Digimon is launching its own mobile card battle game: Digimon Alysion. Bandai Namco has announced this free-to-play title, coming soon to iOS and Android devices.
Currently, details are limited, with only a teaser trailer and brief information available. Unveiled during Digimon Con, Digimon Alysion promises to faithfully recreate the excitement of the physical Digimon card game in a digital format, complete with pack openings and charming pixel art depictions of the various Digimon.

A glimpse of potential story characters and Digimon was also revealed. While specifics remain scarce, the introduction of named characters and Digimon suggests a narrative element, setting it apart from the relatively story-light Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Although a release date is yet to be announced, Gematsu reports that a closed beta test is planned, with further details to follow.
Given the immense popularity of Pokémon TCG Pocket, Digimon Alysion presents a compelling alternative for fans seeking more Digimon card battling action. Meanwhile, Pokémon TCG Pocket developers have acknowledged and are addressing concerns about its trading system, though significant changes may take time to implement.
Digimon Alysion appears poised to expand the accessibility of its card game to a wider audience. This could reignite the classic Poké-Digi rivalry, or at the very least, provide a welcome addition for collectors of monster-themed card games. Further updates on Digimon Alysion's development and eventual launch are eagerly anticipated.
