Pokémon TCG Pocket's trading system is getting a major overhaul. The much-maligned Trade Tokens are being completely removed, replaced by a new currency: Shinedust. You'll earn Shinedust by opening booster packs and receiving duplicate cards already in your Card Dex. Existing Trade Tokens can be converted to Shinedust.
Further changes are planned for Shinedust, and a future update will add an in-game function to share cards you wish to trade. This addresses player concerns about the previous system's restrictive nature and the difficulty in obtaining Trade Tokens.
The initial trading system was criticized for its limitations and the scarcity of the required currency. These changes aim to simplify the trading process and make it more accessible. However, the implementation of these improvements is slated for autumn, a considerable wait for players experiencing the current system's shortcomings.
