When the trailer for *Extradimensional Crisis* dropped, it whisked me straight back to the *Sun and Moon* era—a time when the Pokémon TCG began to showcase its quirky creativity and boundless imagination. Seeing the Ultra Beasts with their bizarre designs and unpredictable powers evoked memories of tearing open *Crimson Invasion* packs, where the origin stories of those creatures seemed almost otherworldly. It was chaotic, daring, and strangely satisfying.

That nostalgia prompted me to revisit *Alola* and explore some of my favorite cards from the *Sun and Moon* expansions. Each card from this era holds a piece of the charm that made Pokémon TCG collectors fall in love with it all over again.

This latest set feels like it’s weaving together elements from across the *Sun and Moon* era. Buzzwole, Nihilego, Type Null, even Lusamine with her uniquely specific energy effect—it’s all so familiar, yet fresh. It’s reminiscent of *Forbidden Light’s* unpredictability, *Ultra Prism’s* dazzling energy, and the shiny overload of *Hidden Fates*.
