How To Find & Recruit All Allies in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In Assassin's Creed Mirage, Naoe and Yasuke face a challenging mission, but they won't face it alone. This guide details how to recruit all allies in Assassin's Creed Mirage, maximizing your team's potential.

Two ally types exist: those enhancing your Hideout (like the blacksmith for equipment upgrades) and combat companions with upgradeable abilities.

After recruiting a combat ally, manage them in your Hideout or unlocked kakuregas. Summoning them unleashes their initial skill; they fight until defeated or all enemies are eliminated. Building a dojo allows leveling up allies, and equipping two simultaneously.

While allies are optional and missable, having extra support is invaluable.

Non-combat allies join via main and side quests: Tomiko ("An Unpayable Debt"), Junjiro ("From Spark to Flame"), and Heiji (Blacksmith) ("Way of the Blacksmith"). The following are combat allies:

Yaya

This Buddhist monk appears in "The Fatherless Monk." Prioritizing justice over violence, align your choices with her values during "Heads Will Roll" (spare the target) and "Find Yaya/The Stray Dogs" (forgiveness for her apprentice). This secures her as an ally.

Yaya's abilities:

  • Novice: Pushback attacks.
  • Initiate: Enemy knockdown.
  • Veteran: Powerful knockback kick.

Katsuhime

Katsuhime, a Koga shinobi using the Teppo, excels at ranged attacks. Her quests begin with "The Naginata" in Omi, continuing through "Showdown in Sakamoto," "Requiem for Rokkaku," "Letter from Katsuhime," and culminating in "The Diary of Lady Rokkaku." Rescue the target and invite her to join.

Katsuhime's abilities:

  • Novice: Daze damage on entry.
  • Initiate: Daze bomb AoE.
  • Veteran: Ricocheting shots off dazed targets.

Gennojo

Gennojo, a sly thief, is encountered in "Missing Missive" (part of finding "The Fool"). Sparing him leads to "Lost Honor," "Sake and Sword," "Honor Among Thieves," and "Stolen Hearts." Flirting and affirming his convictions leads to "The Godless Harvest," where preventing his explosive option and inviting him secures his allegiance.

Gennojo's abilities:

  • Novice: Entry bomb.
  • Initiate: Enemy distraction.
  • Veteran: Prevents servant betrayal.

  • Veteran: Increased armor shattering frequency.
