Slothwerks, the innovative indie developer behind the beloved Meteorfall series, is set to captivate fans once again with their latest card battler, Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble. The game is now open for pre-registration on Android devices, marking the third installment in the series following Meteorfall (2017) and Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale (2019). This eagerly awaited title is slated for release next month, promising to deliver the same quirky charm and engaging gameplay that fans have come to love.
In Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble, players dive into a thrilling roguelike deckbuilder experience where the key to victory lies in bending the rules rather than adhering to them. The game's fast-paced matches challenge you to slap down cards and dazzle a bloodthirsty audience. You'll form a squad of three heroes, selected from a diverse pool of eight, each bringing their unique deck to the table.
With over 200 cards at your disposal, you can customize your deck mid-run using layered upgrades. The inclusion of Wild Cards adds an exciting twist, allowing you to break the conventional rules of engagement and execute impressive feats during battles to earn buffs. When you're not in combat, you'll find yourself in Bramble Town, making crucial decisions such as whether to enhance your deck, train your team, or simply explore the town's eccentric atmosphere.
Initially announced as Bramble Royale, the game underwent a rebranding to Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble a few weeks ago. This strategic move was made to avoid confusion with battle royale games, and by reattaching the Meteorfall name, it ensures that fans immediately recognize it as part of the beloved series. To give you a taste of what to expect, check out the game's story trailer below.
If you're a fan of the Meteorfall series, you can pre-register for Meteorfall: Rustbowl Rumble on the Google Play Store. The game is scheduled to launch on June 25th, 2025, and will be available for $6.99.
